It is human nature to pass judgements on others .We never miss any opportunity to comment on the appearance, personality, looks and dressing sense of the people we come across in our daily life.
Even myself had been a scapegoat and a topic of discussion among my relatives .
Since schooling I was a very shy, timid and innocent girl .But at the same time was a bright and shining student of the school who never gave anybody else a chance to bypass me in scoring Top grade.I hardly uttered a word in my class but all the teachers were fond of me and their appreciation changed my personality.Gradually I gained confidence and thus made friends.I was popular among all teachers and students in the school.
Beacause of my innocence my clever relatives used to amuse at me.They left no occasion to comment on my average dresses and common appearance.I being innocent used to smile on those remarks. But as I grew young my feelings and emotions also matured as they were now sharpened by blunt blows of worldly winds.
On every visit to my house my relatives used to ask me different types of questions for which they were amused to get straight replies from my side.Infact they were amused at this.Although my sentiments were deeply scarred every time but I never remarked back in a harsh manner. To overcome such situations I used to work harder to score more and more.Their behaviour was a blessing in disguise for my professional growth.
During all odds my father stood by me as a polestar and he always inspired me to stand on my own feet.I really bow my head before him.It is by grace of God and wishes of my father that I am capable to face all hardships and harsh tempests by standing as a strong rock.
I got married at early age of twenty and I got govt job in a Bank. Moreover I passed every competetive exam I took and was selected for more than three jobs at once. All my relatives and beautiful cousins were shocked. Now I am at key position in my Bank and earning a very handsome salary. My cousins are still trying to swim in worldly ocean.None of them could well adjust in life. Those who tried to axe my self esteem are after me to maintain relationships. I have faced ugly and rotten comments and they have always nourished me to become very positive, practical and confident woman in society. My institute recognizes my work. Moreover I am thankful to God for Creating me in a way that is SUPER.Indeed I adore myself.
I have learnt from my story that we should never evaluate a person from his outer appearance, dress sense and personality rather we should try to study( if we can) the inner soul of a person.Never try to be stereotyped to ridicule and access ones personality merely by his looks or features. How can we forget great names like Abraham Lincoln who possessed very ordinary features but became President of United States.
I’m breaking stereotypes based on appearance by sharing my experience for the #IAmCapable activity at BlogAdda in association with Nihar Naturals.”
